Dear Citizens of
Putnam and Mason Counties:
I am Debra Girimont
and I'm a Republican candidate for the West Virginia House of
Delegates for the 14th District in 2010.
I am a native West
Virginian - unlike either of the current representatives for
our district. I am a WVU graduate and former small business owner
and now want to devote my time to improving the lives of all
citizens of Putnam and Mason Counties.
I have been
discouraged by the lack of initiative on the part of our legislature
and I am fiercely dedicated to stepping up with creative ideas in
order to point us in the right direction.
I will make a
simple promise to you. If you elect me to the House of Delegates,
you will get a FULL-TIME legislator. Your issues and concerns
are not part-time and your delegate shouldn't be either. You will
also get a delegate without distractions or personal baggage that
hinders his or her effectiveness.
Our economy totally
depends on jobs. In order to bring jobs here, we need to improve our
business environment and work towards some measure of tort reform,
while reforming our tax structure. I want to curb crime, cut
government waste and make sure seniors don’t have to choose between
buying their medicine or eating a meal.
Over the coming
months, I will continue to travel around the district to meet and
greet as many citizens as I can. I plan to continue to hold
gatherings to find out, as your delegate, where you would need help and what your concerns are.
It’s time to start
moving forward together. I hope you will support me in the quest to
make West Virginia a better place for all.
Sincerely,
Debra Girimont
